I am 5'6" @ 130 lbs and I wear the mens medium. It fits perfect with some room for movement.
Honestly the only thing I can say I dislike is the gratuitous use of the brand logo, Generally speaking and this is just my own personal opinion you should only have one brand logo on the outside of the jacket But then again I've always been more of a subtle kind of guy even though I like the color Black.
It has loads of pockets for storage for ski lift card or glasses or phone etc... Really came in handy skiing. Just a great, warm, cost, and I think good looking jacket.
Finally, for the first time in my life, I have a jacket that will keep me perfectly warm during the fall and winter months in San Diego, California. Most people here are like, “It doesn’t ever get so cold that it snows here,” And I tell them, “That’s why I’m not wearing two t-shirts + one or two sweaters + this jacket + a scarf + at least one pair of heavy, waterproof pants + two pairs of heavy socks + heavy boots + one or two heavy hats, like I would in light snow. I feel perfectly warm-enough just wearing this nice jacket over my regular clothes.” 😄
It is warm - Got it last week, just in time for -5 below wind chill NY weather. With only a light cotton shirt under it, I was surprisingly comfortable for a time. Layering up with a fleece underneath and was good for the day, which only got to a high of about 20.
Regarding layering up - I got a large at first, based on the sizing measurements on the product page. While it did fit, there was no room for anything but a shirt underneath. Also found the armpit area a bit snug. Returned that for an XL, which is not excessively loose, but does allow a fleece or something underneath, so, perfect for me (6'1", 188lbs).
As others have mentioned - the hood is quite big. If you believe two heads are better than one, you can fit them both in this hood. Drawstrings can snug it down OK though.
Can't speak to longevity, only been a week - we'll see...
Edit 1/29/22 - Just wore this jacket out in bomb cyclone Kenan here in NY. Minus 3 to minus 5 wind chill. Had a thin thermal shirt under a light fleece, and this jacket on top... for two hours of snowblowing. Excellent! Warm, waterproof, comfortable.
I would appreciate any suggestions for a light hooded weatherproof jacket suitable for temps around freezing +/- 20 degrees. The more pockets the better. Thanks in advance.
Overall, in spite of having a couple small issues, I really like this jacket and would recommend it to anyone who needs a relatively inexpensive jacket that punches above its weight in terms of value.
First of all, this is not a North Face or Arc Terex jacket. But look at the price tag. It is COMPLETELY worth the price, 100%. It is very very warm and well built. I do think that the outer fabric is a tiny bit thin, but it does indeed protect from moisture. I would not say it’s waterproof, but more water resistant. My one gripe with this jacket is that the inner chest pocket zipper came to me sewn in backwards, rendering it basically useless. I love using my inner chest jacket pocket for my phone, so I was disappointed by that.
Overall, this is a very high quality coat for the price and I will purchase another one! I do think the sizes run a little big. I’m 5’11” 180lbs and I bought a large first. I was swimming in it. I sent it back to exchange for a medium and medium was a perfect fit!

Only two complaints. For me this jacket can almost be too warm. Some kind of venting would be helpful. Temperature can start off near zero in the morning and rise up 40 degrees by the afternoon. Leaving unzipped is my compromise. It's not perfect but it keeps me from overheating. My other issue/non issues is the Velcro closures on the zipper cover on the front. Velcro screams cheap and it can sometimes wear quickly. And it also unintentionally attacheds itself to my bag strap at least one a day. That is not Velcro it's just worn. Snaps or buttons or I don't know magnets would of been better. And lastly that damn sound it makes irritates the crap out of me. But...mostly I lack confidence in it's longevity.
Overall a good bargain for a warm coat with a couple of mildly annoying features that at least to me weren't deal breakers.
Keeps him dry and warm, very reasonable price, it’s a win win.
